R.I.P. to my iPod :(

R.I.P. to my iPod video (30gb). Really sad now. I bought it last 2007 for Php 13,000 because I really love music and movies. I saved my money just to buy it and I was really happy the first time I hold it. I use it everyday especially during my travel. I enjoyed listening to music, watching movies and browsing my photos in my iPod. I was able to use it for 3 years and got problems with the hardware and earphone jock last 2010. I never used it for a year and decided to buy an iPod shuffle but unfortunately it was included in my bag when I was robbed. Last June 2011, since my boyfriend knew how important my iPod video to me so as a birthday gift, he brought it in a repair shop in Greenhills hoping to be fixed and luckily it was fixed. I was very happy and started using it again. Another incident happened with my iPod when my brother borrowed it. He rode a bump car and was not aware that my iPod was in the pocket of his shirt. As he was enjoying the ride, the iPod was magnetized in the railway and got damaged. Luckily, the iPod is still working eventhough the case was deformed. Last night, i checked my iPod and discovered that it was infected with a virus. I heard noises coming from my iPod as I was formatting it. As I connected it again, the sad broken face appear. My boyfriend tried to fix it by checking ways in the internet. I knew this time the problem is serious especially that it concerns with the hard disk. I know that it can still be fixed by putting a new hard disk but it will totally cost me more. So, it’s like buying a new one. Really sad about it. I’ll hope to have a new one soon. ūüė¶

Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief

My boyfriend gave me a gift for our 2nd monthsary. It was a book, Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, written by Rick Riordan. He bought it in Powerbooks for P305.
I find the book interesting after I read the synopsis:
Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of boarding school…again. And that’s the least of his troubles. Lately, the mythological monsters and the gods of Mount Olympus seem to be walking straight out of the pages of Percy’s Greek mythology textbook and into his life. And worse, he’s angered a few of them. Zeus’ master lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect.

Now Percy and his friends have just ten days to find and return Zeus’s stolen property and bring property and bring peace to a warring Mount Olympus. But to succeedon his quest, Percy will have to do more than catch the true thief: he must come to terms with the father who abandoned him; solve the riddle of the Oracle, which warns him of betrayal by a friend; and unravel a treachery more powerful than the gods themselves.

Japsy told me that the said book will be shown as movie in 2010. I still have a lot of time to read the book before the movie will be shown next year. Here’s the trailer:

My iPod, My Movies

Last week, I decided to put some movies in my iPod video. I love watching movies! I’d like to watch these movies especially if I get bored in the middle of the traffic:

License to Wed (Robin Williams, Mandy Moore) – This is a comedy with a touch of politics and religion movie. I’m interested to watch it because of Robin Williams. I really like him when it comes to acting.

Man of the Year (Robin Williams) – It’s Robin Williams’ movie again! He is a host who runs for Presidency and wins because of some error in the computerized voting system. I have watch the trailer of this movie before and I got interested in his comedic character.

Monster-in-Law (Jennifer Lopez, Jane Fonda) – A funny and romantic movie of a woman who finds the man of her dreams but struggles in dealing with her future mother-in-law.

Serendipity (John Cusack, Kate Beckinsale) – I have watched it many times and I’d love to watch it again and again. This is one of my favorite movies. Comedy, drama and romance in one. If you believe in fate, you’ll definitely love it.

50 First Dates (Adam Sandler, Drew Barrymore) – Also my fave movie! I love watching it again, again and again. Perfect, I love it!

Bruce Almighty (Jim Carrey) – One of the best movies that really make me laugh to death. I remember when I watched this movie with my officemate, he almost cried laughing. Thumbs up for Jim Carrey! If you want to relax a bit, watch it!

Stomp the Yard (Columbus Short, Ne-Yo) – After I have watched Step Up 2, I got more interested in watching dramatical and musical movies like this. Since I can’t dance, I’d like to see the characters in this movie doing their moves and competing. =)

American Pie Beta House – I have watched the other American Pie movie series. This movie will surely be more funnier and wilder!
